Bill Cron, friendly neighborhood archivist Welcome to my online portfolio. Here you can find information about my experience, education, and skills. You can view or print a copy of my résumé. I also invite you to learn a little bit about my personal interests, and to contact me if you have any questions or are interested in hiring me. I am presently seeking employment in the field of archives. The National Archives Building in Washington, D.C. at night
Professionally, I consider myself equal parts archivist, historian, and educator. My experience in these fields has prepared me to effectively collect, evaluate, characterize, organize, digitize, preserve, present, question, and interpret information across a variety of contexts. My ideal position would combine traditional archival duties with instructional design, public programming, and implementation of new technologies. I am particularly interested in working with collections documenting United States social and political history.

What I believe about Archives, History, and Education.
  • Archival materials achieve their greatest value when they are actually USED.
  • History is IMPORTANT - it helps us make sense of the shared experiences of human beings.
  • Archivists have an ongoing responsibility to employ technology to improve ACCESS to information.
  • Every person has the ability to learn, to create, and to impact our world in a positive way.
